According to an official statement by Olive TV as quoted by Soompi: “We asked Jung Yong Hwa to join the lineup for the show because we wanted to see his synergy with Kang Ho Dong.”
Set to premiere May 22,“Island Musketeers” will take TV guesting in a whole new level by bringing their guests to an island for several days. Through this, they will be exposed to a different environment and will have a chance to experience the local’s way of life.
Meanwhile, Jung has recently graced the latest episode of JTBC’s “Please Take Care of my Refrigerator”. During the interview part, the singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor shared his thoughts on choosing a perfect timing for a comeback.
“One time, we released our song ‘Can’t Stop’ right when Girls’ Generation and 2NE1 made their comebacks. But then…yeah… Although we did get good results, it would’ve been nicer if we had chosen better timing. That was when I realized it’s not always a good idea to go head-to-head [with popular artists],” said Jung as quoted by Soompi.
Jung began 2009 after joining CNBLUE alongside Lee Jong Hyun, Kang Min Hyuk, and Lee Jung Shin. He currently stands as the band’s leader, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist
Two years after the star’s debut, he released his solo digital single, "For First Time Lovers”.
He also appeared in several TV drama series including “You’re Beautiful”, “Heartstrings”, and “The Three Musketeers”.
